• Aqua-cise for Arthritis
  Winneshiek Medical Center Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine offers this fun and effective program, which utilizes water to help maximize exercises that ease the pain of arthritis. Classes are held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 12 noon. Call the Rehab Department at 563-387-3031 to register.

Winneshiek Medical Center will offer free car seat checks on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 4:30-7:00pm at the East Entrance. Trained car seat technicians will be available to make sure your children's car seats are installed properly in your vehicle. For information, call 563-387-3030.

Tai chi will be offered by a community member at Winneshiek Medical Center every Wednesday evening.  Learn about the benefits of tai chi from Mayo Clinic.

Winneshiek Medical Center is offering a free foot and ankle screening with Mayo Health System podiatrist, Dr. Thomas Marquardt, DPM.  Patients will be screened for foot/ankle conditions such as structural imbalance, heel pain, bunions and ingrown or fungal nails.  If a condition is suspected or diagnosed, patients will be advised to make an appointment with a podiatrist for treatment.

Screening Dates:

• Wednesday, May 7 from 3pm - 6 pm
• Thursday, May 8 from 1 pm - 4 pm

Winneshiek Medical Center offers Babysitter Training several times per year for girls and boys ages 11 and over who are interested in beginning a babysitting career. Babysitter Training prepares youth with the training every parent wants, including safety, basic childcare, safe play, first aid and critical emergency action skills.

Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation dedicates the newly installed donor wall.

Winneshiek Medical Center invites the public to attend the grand opening of the newly expanded and renovated areas. The radiology, same day services, emergency, ambulance, health information management and laboratory departments are all part of the 48,000 square foot renovation. 

Guided tours of the highlighted areas will be offered, as well as refreshments and door prizes.
