Winneshiek Medical Center Paramedic Services, based in the Emergency Department, is a group of highly skilled paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs) who provide rapid ambulance response to accidents and other emergencies. Winneshiek Medical Center utilizes life-saving aeromedical transportation to tertiary care centers, including Mayo Clinic (Mayo One), Gundersen Lutheran (Medlink Air), Mercy North Iowa (Mercy Air Life) and the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics (Air Care).
Winneshiek Medical Center Paramedic Services is staffed 24 hours a day by certified Paramedics and Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) specially trained in emergency care for the sick and injured.
