Gait Analysis

If you are having pain while running or walking, Winneshiek Medical Center Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine offers gait analysis. During a gait analysis, you are video-recorded walking (both barefoot and with shoes) and running so that our physical therapists can identify any biomechanical abnormalities. Video is recorded from behind and from the side of the runner to check all your mechanics.

We also perform a musculoskeletal screen to check your flexibility and strength, and identity any deficiencies. We then show you how to correct these issues. Additionally, we assess your shoes for wear and determine if they are the correct shoe for your foot/mechanic type. If needed, we recommend the proper shoe for your needs.

You are given the DVD of your analysis to help you remember what you need to work on. Cost for your gait analysis is $75.00.
