Welcome, Jessica Johnson, DNP, ARNP
Winneshiek Medical Center is pleased to welcome Jessica Johnson, DNP, ARNP, to the Occupational Health Clinic. Occupational Health is a special type of care that works alongside employers and businesses to keep employees safe and healthy. Johnson replaces Kristen Heffern, ARNP, as she and her husband are relocating to St. Cloud, Minnesota to be closer to extended family.
A Northeast Iowa Community College graduate of the LPN and RN programs, Johnson went on to complete her Bachelor and Master of Nursing Science from Kaplan University. She continued her nursing education through Purdue Global University, receiving her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in May 2019. Johnson and her family then moved to Wasilla, Alaska where she provided care at the Algone Interventional Pain Management Clinic. The family has relocated back to Decorah where she is closer to her northeast Iowa roots.
Johnson has special interest and expertise in occupational health care and chronic pain management. She says, “I look forward to re-joining the community where I was raised. My experience in Alaska and my nursing background prepare me to serve patients and work with businesses by hearing their needs and responding with care and programming that can help them enhance their health and wellness.”
