When you support local health care, you are supporting your community
Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation’s goal is to provide financial support to Winneshiek Medical Center for technology improvements, capital growth and replacement of equipment, educational opportunities for staff and more. The rapid changes in rural health care requires medical centers, such as Winneshiek Medical Center, to seek private funds through monetary donations, endowments, memorial gifts and planned giving options.
Dr. Steve and Patti Davis, Decorah, have been passionate donors to the Foundation throughout the years. Dr. Davis practiced as a general surgeon for seven years at Winneshiek Medical Center prior to retiring. He and his wife share, “Supporting health care in our community has always been one of our priorities. Contributing to the Winneshiek Medical Center Foundation is one of our ways to support the community where we live.”
The Foundation recognizes donations of $10,000 or more on the donor wall located in the Main Entrance of Winneshiek Medical Center. Dr. Steve and Patti Davis had the privilege of placing their plaque on the wall in late 2019. “There are different size plaques for different levels of giving; a $10,000 contribution or more recognizes your commitment to the WMC Foundation with a plaque on the wall. Recognition for other levels of contributions are included in our bi-annual WMC Foundation Community Heartbeat donor listing,” shares Holly Kanengieter, WMC Foundation Coordinator.
Giving is an important factor in continuing to provide advanced medical care to communities. Gifts to the WMC Foundation can be made online at www.winmedical.org/giving or by calling the Foundation office at 563-387-3129.
