Over 300 Winneshiek Medical Center staff and guests attended the annual Staff Appreciation Celebration, held in January.

At the event, 74 staff members were honored for their commitment and dedication to Winneshiek Medical Center for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty and forty years of service; a total of 940 years of service including members of the active medical staff. Lisa Radtke, chief administrative officer of Winneshiek Medical Center, thanked staff for their extraordinary work over the past year and their deep commitment to serving others. She said, “Tonight, please know that your contributions make a difference. Every star in the WMC galaxy shines brightly to create an organization – a family – that relies on each other for the good of the patient. Your exceptional work is what makes Winneshiek Medical Center special.”

In addition to service awards, Winneshiek Medical Center leadership presented a Team Star Award to the organization for their collective work to implement Epic, the new electronic health record. The project began in 2015 and “went live” in September 2017. To celebrate, WMC leadership named a star in Winneshiek Medical Center’s honor on the Official Star Registry. Radtke said, “The Team Star Award is in recognition of your unwavering commitment and valuable contributions to the successful implementation of Epic. This star, donated by the WMC leadership team and listed in the Official Star Registry, is just a small representation of our appreciation to each of you for your monumental effort, the success of our collective work, and the bright future of our organization.”
