Ophthalmology injections and surgery are performed at Winneshiek Medical Center on an outreach basis by Mayo Clinic.

Mayo Clinic ophthalmologists see patients at Oneota Valley Family Eye Care, downtown Decorah.

If you need surgery:

  • If you need surgery, we can help you coordinate your pre-operative history and physical exam appointment with a local Mayo Clinic doctor at Winneshiek Medical Center (or any authorized local provider).
  • On the day of the scheduled surgery, your Mayo Clinic ophthalmologist will return to Decorah to perform the procedure at Winneshiek Medical Center.
  • Following your surgery, your Mayo Clinic ophthalmologist will provide follow-up care at Oneota Valley Family Eye Care.
